Belltel Lofts

Project Overview:

One of Brooklyn’s most successful adaptive reuse projects, Clipper Equity’s 27-story Belltel lofts has given an Art Deco masterpiece a new lease on life. Originally designed by master architect Ralph Walker as the Long Island headquarters of the New York Telephone Company, the building’s cavernous office space has been carved into 250 apartment units by architects Beyer Blinder Bell. Contractor RC Dolner brought Horsepower in to handle the delicate rewiring of the building’s immense lobby. Our renovation expertise allowed us to preserve the original plaster ceilings while we refurbished the original light fixtures and upgraded the service to 5,000 amps, all without any downtime.
