BAM 300 Ashland Place

BAM 300 Ashland Place

Project Overview:

The BAM complex at 300 Ashland Place, designed by Enrique Norten Arquitectos and Ismael Leyva Architects for Two Trees Development, is a mixed-use triumph with culture at its heart. Horsepower is proud of the role it played in creating a new home for several iconic Brooklyn cultural institutions: the BAM Cinema, the MoCADA, 651 ARTS, and a new branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. The surrounding plaza helps weave the complex into the fabric of its Fort Greene neighborhood, while the 32-story tower provides 379 apartments, 20% of which are designated low-income housing. The entire complex is wrapped in a perforated metal sheath, which binds it together and makes it an instantly recognizable landmark.
